minecraft.jar java SE binary not responding

    • AMD fx 8350 eight core processor 4.00 GHz 8gb ram, AMD Radeon HD 7900, windows 8.1, up to date video card drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled java and minecraft(minecraft temp files and app exe).

      made no changes. was playing then gameplay started to freeze and became non responsive (not fps or isp).
      only pushed it to crash the first time, got message:
      minecraft.jar java SE binary not responding

      updated drivers/reinstalled. didn't change anything.

      I have looked for a solution for a few hours and all I have found are reports of this bug/error starting back in 2012.

      by this time I hope there is a solution.
