I have recently been playing Minecraft PE in a survival world. I had gotten pretty far until I came upon a illager base. Before I went into the base, I placed a bed and pressed on it until it said Respawn point set. I had assumed if I died while trying to find the chests I would respawn there, and quickly go to retrieve my items again. I had killed all the illagers until I found one more. I heard the sound effects of it, yet I could not see it. I have came across this problem before. Some mobs are invisible and you can’t see them and other people are also experiencing this bug. The invisible illager killed me, and I didn’t respawn at my bed. I respawned to the beginning where I started. I had to quit this world after working on it for hours because I couldn’t go retrieve my things. I hope you fix these soon and thanks for your time!
