The portal of the nether is floating! When I was playing in survival I made my diamond peak and the typical chop obsidian, obsidian and more obsidian and I made my portal but when I entered the nether everything was in the void and I fell and was full diamond diamond sword, diamond pickaxe, diamond ax, diamond full armor etc and had to start it all over from scratch.
