Three times now on my minecraft bedrock server I have taken lethal damage while flying with my elytra. There is nothing around or near me, I'm not close to the ground, I'm not getting attacked by mobs, I'm simply just taking damage from nothing and dying. This does not happen every time that I fly using the elytra, however this has been an ongoing issue.
