I updated my Minecraft Pocket Edition like so many others. Started playing on my world I have had for several months. Everything seemed normal and working fine. However, I found some Ancient Debris and once I had turned the scraps into an ingot, I found I couldn’t craft any of the Netherite recipes or upgrade my tools. I tried installing Minecraft on my phone to see if it was my device that was the problem, but the same thing happened on my phone. A freshly updated and unused world wouldn’t let me craft any Netherite recipes either.

is this a known bug and can anything be done about it?
