The new patch for Minecraft Bedrock for ps4 has cause a problem within the game, I have two ps4's (friends ps4s) and both of them have the same problems. When starting up the application it takes an unusually long time loading to the splash screen (red background with MOJANG) then the loading bar takes between 3 to 8 minutes to actually load the game to the main menu where one of many things happens:

It can take a long time loading menu, The nether background lags and jitters and then starts up, from there the whole game freezes ( can't access any menus, press any buttons etc), a warning happens saying "Failed to load character 1, You can reload it from your profile." Then freezes. If I am able to go into the play sector of the menu and load a save world, everything is going great the helper tips show but then it freezes up. The Signing into a Microsoft account also has stopped working too. However when the game freezes up the background music begins to play like the game hasn't froze.

I have tried this 4 times on the two different ps4's and the same results has happened the game takes way longer to load, the menu takes forever to start up and the game freezes.

I have found a solution but I don't know if it will stop it from happening again but if I uninstall the game and re-download it, it seems to start working again.
