When a spectral arrow hits a player or mob I get blinded if I look in the general direction

What I expected to happen was that I would see the actual spectral arrow to work

I get completely blinded, total darkness

Get a regular bow and spectral arrows. Shoot at a player or mob. Look in it's general direction. Then you get blinded for a set amount of time.

This happens to me only as far as I know, I tried to mess around with the settings to fix it. I play with my friends and they don't get blinded by it as i would.
