I don't know if this problem is fixed yet, but in the first prerelease for 1.10 I had problems giving myself items/blocks with data values. Things like golden_apple:1 or wool:14 or wool:15 I couldn't give myself using /give. I don't know if this is fixed yet, which it might have been, but right now I don't have much time so I can't really check to see if it's been reported yet or not. If it has, then please just disregard this. Thanks!
