I cant join a multiplayer server

      I open the Minecraft Launcher and click PLAY. Once it loads I click MULTIPLAYER and enter a server. It loads and it crashes.

      What I expected to happen was...:
      Minecraft would run normally.

      What actually happened was...:
      Minecraft crashed

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Open launcher and click play
      2. Join a multiplayer server
      3. Crash
