My issues revolve around a little chicken farm I've made and replicated pretty consistently for probably a couple years. It's essentially just a a room that keeps chickens with hoppers covering the floor, feeding eggs into a box outside of the room, feeding into two more hoppers that feed mine carts that pass under it. The track the cart is on goes around the outside of room going up and down slants that lead from the bottom of the box on one side to the top of the box on the other and running over hoppers along the top. These hoppers feed into a dispenser that's powered by blinking redstone torches. It worked fine before and still largely does. I just ran it until eggs overflowed and threw in a couple dmg potions to get exp while I got the meat
Thing is with the newest patch the game is having a hard time keeping up with any of the contents of the farm. I've turned off the redstone and killed all the chickens just to come back and find the room full of live chickens. On another occasion I've killed them, examined the number of eggs in the boxes and hoppers (had about 1/3 of the box up front filled) and came back to no chickens, but the boxes, hoppers, dispenser, and mine cart completely full of eggs. I've broken the empty cart off the track before just to have it reappear, half full of eggs and going around the track with the one I broke still in my inventory. I've had more than one cart disappear. Nothing is guaranteed to happen every time but saving and quitting a couple times usually triggers something. It does happen from time to time if I happen to go a little too far away during regular play as well.
My biggest worry is that I tend to move anything and everything with mine carts underground and seeing these carts essentially rewrite their storage I don't know if I can trust them not to rewrite their contents to when I was moving cobblestone or something like that. I'm just wondering if there's any problems with mine carts generally this update or if this is because of the specific circumstance.
