The version i need isn't specified, im looking for help on 1.7.*

I cannot load onto a server with any minecraft 1.7.* version, works with all future and previous versions
What I expected to happen was...:

I expected me to able to load in and play.

I was given a crash report
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Minecraft launcher
2. Select a 1.7.* server
3. Click play
4. Go onto a multiplayer or survival world and crash.
