When starting the game, the game randomly crashes about a quarter to a fifth of the time, producing a small log file and this text is seen in the game output window of the launcher (along with additional text):

The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code.

This has been going on for a few versions - IIRC since at least 1.11.0.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled cleanly all Java to no avail.
