Stopping means letting go of W

Occasionally, when I stop moving, my player continues to move for about 3 seconds.

Pressing S to try to stop (act against going forward) does not stop this glitch. The player continues to auto-move after releasing S.

This has only started happening since 1.12 was released.

I am not sure if this is a bug or an addition, but I almost fell into an open ravine due to this.
