I was playing in my Minecraft survival realm and I went through my nether portal and I saw my red parrot went through the portal so I picked him up and went back through the portal pressed "E" to check if he was still on my shoulder but he vanished! Now I don't have my parrot! So to clear up going through a nether portal with a parrot on your shoulder will kill the parrot.
