If you were to have a Anvil on top of a Piston and piston on top of the anvil and one in front of the anvil and linked up redstone dust to all of the pistons then turned on the redstone the anvil would glitch and be left there as half of the Anvil block and would not act like a block, it would act as a ghost.
if you need any more info i could make a video about it, but im sure you can look on your own, but if so i will make a video if asked to by someone
