Hi, I noticed a few discrapencies in your releases of MC the game and MC server.
Yesterday I played according to the games own option, the latest snapshot, I can't say now for sure what it is, because when I saved after playing for an hour that world and moved it to the yet to be server for testing further, I noticed the version was 18w22c.
Now when I start MC the game, it says 18w22b
Now why is there a difference in those numbers, obviously for your record, but for us to test, it makes things very hard, reporting problems would be waved off of the table when the version does not match. Whilst us players, who wants to help you, try to get the latest snapshot, try to find problems, this version problem is kind of your ERR....
Even in the launcher when going to settings and chose a new snapshot, adding a new startup, it gives you next to it an option to download the server.jar. This leads to a website and that gives an error if you want to download the server.jar. I suggest, link it to the right webpage and make sure the link works, or remove this option from that particular point.
Further, the backwards compatibility works, but not for vanilla servers on the internet. So when active on a newest snapshot, is it not handy to have the option to search the internet from within the game to find a matching server for this snapshot. And before you know how to tell me that I have to put this on another website under the make suggestion, I think that this option should be a long time ago being realized. So it would not help to tell you this there, but I do hope you consider it here (where I made the suggestion)
Oh and while you are at it, FIX the attachment section here! (so annoying that it does not accept anything)
