      I recently noticed that in the nether, maybe the overworld too but I haven't checked, mushrooms will spawn on/next to glowstone and next to lava, when they shouldn't because of the light from them. only in pre-generated spawn chunks, not chunks that generate as the player gets near them. it is a problem with world generation, probably something about the way the game calculates light values at world generation.

          We've reopened this ticket since we're not sure whether it's intentional or not (MC-610 is a valid bug). If someone could provide a seed / coordinates where this is still happening, please do so, so that we can confirm this issue.
