The 1-tick redstone output trick using pistons still works, but apparently it isn't enough to power the next piston, which would create a T-Flip Flop switch

i'm attaching a video to give you a clear representation.
I tried placing a redstone torch next to it and destroy it quickly, so i got a 1 tick output.
manually it worked, but for some reason it doesn't work with the piston
