My villagers disappear and are not being killed. I have both created villagers (cured from zombies) who have been happily existing for a while, and also new naturally generated villagers who are just not there when I return to their site. My created villagers were all name tagged. My naturally generated villagers were in a new village that I left intact and happy and were gone when I went back. For further info my created villagers were in my home base and my natural village a good distance away on a newly-spawned island (so I could see the new aquatic things eg seaweed) with a shipwreck, chest, brand new village etc. I made sure to overnight responsibly so they did not get eaten by zombies. Searching around the 'net I see that other people have had this happen but I can't see any solutions. I went to a lot of effort to cure my own villagers, is there anything that can be done to prevent this seemingly random loss? I know about the normal means of prevention eg light, fencing, and so on. It's not me being daft, they really are just suddenly gone.
