my minecraft wont let me play the newest version even though I could before. What should I do?

    • My operating system is a mac OS x 10.8.5, and I don't know what java version, it just says I am running a old version of java.It's the Minecraft laucher 1.6.89-j

      When ever I try to play it on my new Minecraft version it crashes and when I try to download it again it will also crash
