Launcher unable to keep up and doesn't let me go onto it- can't play.

      I click on Minecraft and it says "Unable to start Minecraft, if you're running from a dmg, please drag to Applications and try again." I try to do as it says but it doesn't work.

       

      Possible solution- If it updates to 1.14, it might work.
