the new villages are nice except;
they are spaced so far apart, you can have 1 villager at one end and 1 at the other. No chance of breeding.
due to extra space more mobs at night
acacia houses with fenceposts at corners, cause villagers to get stuck in the corner.(see picture)
ice area houses with inset corners-villagers get stuck in the corner trying to get inside. you have to cut the blocks next to them out so they go inside then fill in the corner.(see picture)
some houses have a single space leading to a two wide space, so if a zombie goes in they are blocked form leaving.
villagers;
as well as the suicidal night time walks, some also now leave doors open, allowing zombies inside. This seems to be mainly the ones with double doors(see picture)
I have watched 5 villages so far and all went down to 1 villager by the end of the second day due to mass mob attacks at night , while leaving doors open and going for walks.
The golems did nothing as they were usually way off from the village.
-----------
The only pillager attack(unprovoked) left a vindicator behind and they did their bit for population control.
With the changes to breeding ,this is going to make it very hard to breed villagers without sticking them in a farm, assuming you can keep them alive long enough to get them in one.

apologies if this is a duplicate of other one on houses. I can't find the number
