Sometimes when I try to give myself a potion effect with the /effect command for example speed it will give me slowness same thing goes for the all potion effects with opposites (except for jump boost, it will just not do anything but it will still say that you have jump boost) and sometimes when the /effect command works and you leave your world and rejoin it, the effects will be the opposite from before (but this too will only happen sometimes)
