As you can see in the YT video linked, Animals, Horses etc all move around on the spot that they are on, but they don't walk around. You don't get thrown off horses and they aren't tamed yet, so you can't open the Inventory.

Nothing seems to change it, but as you can see towards the end, carrots do attract pigs to walk, but that's about it.
