When you place a flower (I used a cornflower) on a dirt block and then brake the flower and then quickly place another one it seems that the dirt block underneath the flower keeps damage. It may take a few attempts, but if you see the damage pixels and keep breaking and replacing the flower it will appear to be breaking. If the dirt block takes to much "damage" it will reset. If you leave the block with pixels of damage it will reset when you interact with another block or break the dirt block.
