Steps to reproduce: Load into a world or server in Minecraft 1.44.4 on my desktop listed above. Type something in chat, can or can not include spaces. Do this a few times, after the first 1 or 2 times it should get bad enough that typing a word is > 2-3 seconds.
Note: Servers seem to be worse, only tested on my personal server but the lag started almost immediately there whereas in local play it took a few more words
Typing in the ingame chat is very laggy
When a world is first loaded and nothing has yet been typed this bug is not noticeable. However after the first few words (spaces seem to trigger it especially, long strings of nonsense are not as bad as lots of spaced words), there is a higher and higher input lag on the chat. For example, if i type "hello world" when the world first boots then hit enter it prints the whole thing. If i type "hello world" again though, after mashing my keyboard a few times, and then press enter it will only print "hel". It will also mess up the input order as well so if i type too fast it will print "orld" or "lord" instead.
I did see almost this exact bug in the MC-Bedrock bugs section but couldnt find anything for the java edition hope thats ok
EDIT: Fixed itself just randomly, possibly because i changed the java version used for the path to java 8 i set back to default? but it wasnt working on default so shrug
