I've been having this problem for a while and none of the other tickets seem to rectify my issue.

It's a completely vanilla install, I don't have any mods that I used on the game. It's also a very inconsistant issue, sometimes the game crashes before it even loads into minecraft, other time it lets me pick a server and then crashes when it tries to load the server. 

My JVM arguments are standard, and my java installation is up to date. I've been trying to fix this issue for months
