I've noticed this a few times now on 13w21a and 13w21b where the connection bar by my name on the list of players on my server has an "X" over it. After a few minutes it will fix itself to showing the full five green bars. As noted in the title, this is only occasional. It does not affect gameplay, since you still are on the server and can do normal functions but it can be annoying to see.
