I downloaded forge in 2018 when the 1.12.2 update was around. Since then I could not use regular vanilla Minecraft on a separate 'latest release' account as the game would crash on loading, saying "loading the game failed". This is what happens when it loads.

"Unable to locate the Java runtime.
Error details: The operation completed successfully.

Why is this happening and how can I fix the problem?
