I'm on Windows 10 and I'm using Java version 8 update 231 build 1.8.0_231-b11.

My game has been acting up for the past few months. If there are mobs around me, be it zombies, bees, sheep or wolves, the mobs will freeze and not respond. I cannot trade with villagers, attempting to open chests or anything won't work. I can wander around, the animals and such will make small movements (swishing their tails, etc.) and the sound still plays. They'll sometimes unfreeze on their own, but if it happens a second time then it's generally freezes requiring me to try to save the game and use task manager to shut it down.
Afterwards I have to try to open the save game, have it get to 90-100% or something and freeze. When that happens I use task manager again and usually the second time around I can reopen the saved game (though not always, it can take a few more tries).
I had hoped this would be solved with a new update, but the bees seem to make it a bit WORSE somehow. I have updated Java, thinking that was the issue and it is not. I've tried backing up my saved games and removing them so there is only one or two and that doesn't work either. I haven't really gotten to play Minecraft in a few months because of this.
I have tried to alter the render distance and such but it doesn't help that much. I have a video but it won't let me attach it.
