There is no way to dye or cutsomise your armor look  with netherite.. 
on a mutiplayer server this makes EVERYONE all black. and after having custom skins  covered up thats boring and uncool
if you have colors and dye int he game you should be able to dye all the armor not jsut leather. 
even if it jsut adds a color stripe on the armor piece..  .. a mowhawk stripe ont eh helmet a pectoral ligtning bolt on the chest    pinstripe on pant legs and toecaps on boots. 

simple yet  makes it more fun..
