The names chosen for piglin, hoglin, zoglin and zombified piglin need rethinking. The two problems with the currently chosen names are:
1) The names are too similar: All forms with just a syllable ending in -lin sounds almost the same; piglin, hoglin and zoglin are just too similar.
2) It introduced inconsistency regarding zombie form: We used to have just "zombie" as prefix, like in "zombie villager", "zombie horse" and "zombie pigman", but now we got "zombified piglins", and a completely renamed "zoglin".
The confusion here is real, and it is utterly unnecessary. The concepts are all good, but the names just makes it hard to comprehend. Look at all youtube videos where someone is reviewing the snapshots (or when I talk to my kids!) to see how they are struggling to get this right. (As contrast, no one is struggling with "netherite", "lodestone" or "respawn anchor").
My suggestion here is to continue use "zombie" as prefix for zombie versions, and to rename hoglins to something not ending in -lin. Anything, not just -lin. Even just a simple "hog" would do fine. This would give names like this instead:
piglin --> piglin
zombified piglin --> zombie piglin
hoglin --> hog (or whatever)
zoglin --> zombie hog (or whatever)
