          Just noting:

I'm still seeing this issue in the offical release (1.6.1) but its not just placing a sourse block into a source block. I actualy placed water into flowing water (no source) and I still got the broken water particles and the stone sound playing.

We decided that this wasn't as much of a good feature because of a lack of proper sounds (also fixed another nasty bug ;D). So no more particles/breaking/sounds when placing liquids into liquids.

It's Mojang's game. They can do whatever they want with it.

          "This not a bug, it's a feature!" = Nonsense.

Maybe if they changed the sound? A splashing noise would make more sense to me than a block breaking sound.

Love how Mojang was the 2nd comment on this saying its a feature and yet everyone keeps commenting on it saying its a bug
