Block updates causing frequent crashes

      when working on vertical soul sand water columns about 100 chunks out from the spawn point, the game has trouble keeping up. attached are the crash reports.

       

      Also, I'm unable to place water into water sources to empty buckets unless it has kelp in it. And the UI is messed up in inventory screens, but I'm sure you noticed that
