In the new update it was changed so that food drops off uncooked campfires.

I believe that this takes away from the creativity that is Minecraft and doesn't effect anything having this as a feature, as it was only ever used decoratively. 

It was never a bug to have uncooked food on a campfire as it makes more realistic sense anyway for it to stay on.
