I have a chicken pen, with lava in the corner to prevent overcrowding, the chickens used to stop short of this lava unless they were pushed in by other crowded chickens.

In this series of snapshots and pre-releases the chickens empty their pen by all running into the lava corner and dying.

All their AI needs to know is don't walk/pathfind to a corner over lava.
