Just downloaded the newest version of minecraft 1.16.1. Opened my world and played for awhile and when i clicked save and quit, it completely deleted my world and it didn't even show up anymore and had to create a new world. Then that new world deleted as well. Please help. Can't play at all if it just deletes my worlds when i save and quit.

NM. i Found it in my saves folder but it won't show up for me to play the game.

Please help. I even tried troubleshooting it by fixing the corrupted world and it fixes it but then it does it again and again every time. I do backup my worlds but i have to leave my world to save and back it up but when i do that, it has the chance to have it corrupted again and it loses all my progress. It's so annoying and i don't have fun because i'm just worried that my world will be corrupted and unplayable again.
