As Vechs suggested in his Waking Up Development Commentary, there should be a way to control multiple dogs at once.
Issue: Letting many dogs stand up/sit down is hard and very time consuming.
Suggestion: Holding shift and right-clicking on a dog lets dogs stand up or sit down (depending on the dog you clicked on) in a range of 16 blocks
