Piglins will forgive live players that they are pursuing, that are in their view. This is inconsistent with other neutral mobs (wolves, iron golems, zombified piglins) that have an anger time that ticks down only after the player left their field of view.

      To reproduce in Survival:

      1. Hit a piglin
      2. Climb 2 blocks high
      3. The Piglin forgives the player after a minute

To reproduce in Creative with commands

      1. Hit a piglin
      2. Use the command a few times
        /data get entity @e[type=piglin,limit=1,sort=nearest] Brain
      3. See that the Piglin's anger timer (stored in angry_at alongside the target) keeps ticking down, despite the fact the player didn't leave the piglin's field of view.

Other neutral mobs do not have this issue. Other neutral mobs anger time only ticks down while they are not actively attacking the player, which means for them the player would have to retreat a bit farther for them to be forgiven.
