I have about 20 parrots in my base (around Y=70) in the overworld. Occasionally, they will imitate a hostile mob that is not in the area, such as evokers (a raid never happened at my location), hoglins, shulkers, blazes, and even the ender dragon. I've never transported any of these mobs to my base.

I have noticed this since 1.16.1, I don't recall it ever happening in 1.14 or 1.15.

Cheats are disabled, hard difficulty, vanilla Minecraft with default gamerules. There are a few datapacks from vanillatweaks but none of them should be affecting parrot behavior. No resource packs are used, the only mod I have is minihud (client-side) running on Fabric.

When this happens, a subtitle matching the sound is displayed. "Parrot lurks", "Parrot snorts", "Parrot breathes", "Parrot roars", etc. I have never heard the original sound (Shulker lurks, Piglin snorts, Blaze breathes, Ender Dragon roars), which means that the original mob cannot be in the area.

The parrots may also be imitating other hostile mobs incorrectly, but mobs like zombies, skeletons, and creepers are so common that I assume that the according mob really is outside.

This seems to happen randomly; I'm not sure if it's a bug with parrots themselves or if it only happens if there are many parrots in one location.

Attached is a screenshot of one of these occurrences, "Parrot roars".
