Starting today I suddenly can't break blocks in my 1.16.4 installation. I haven't changed the installation at all or altered it in any way since it was last working (besides just having it on 'most recent version' so unless there was some small automatic update recently, I haven't personally made any changed). I can still left click and right click normally, I just can't left click and hold, it just registers it as a single click. This problem occurs on both my mouse and on the computer's trackpad, I exited out and reloaded the world and restarted Minecraft twice and it still doesn't work properly. I flipped the keybindings around and then switched them back and that didn't change it either (not that I really expected it to do anything but worth a shot). This occurs regardless of what's in my hand (or if my hand is empty) and regardless of what block I'm targeting.

Edit: Okay I've attached an image with the debug screen open, I don't have like screen recording software so I can't take a video but there's a screenshot. I tried starting a new world on the same installation and the new world worked fine...which doesn't bode well for the one I'm playing on. (Also no I'm not using a chromebook, it's an HP running windows 10)
