This affects 21w10a and up. "brand new tech" makes the game not work on my Intel HD 3000. This is 1.7.3 all over again. I understand adapting newer APIs brings a speed increase on those computers that support it, but what's so hard about obfuscating the game's rendering code correctly, so supporting older APIs is at least partially possible, and easy to maintain? This is a game that spits out blocks with 16x16 textures, with very little shader use, there should be no reason OGL 3.2 is mandatory.

I will likely not be playing or supporting 1.17 in any capacity if it releases like this.

Just in case someone wants to bring it up: I understand my PC is not within the minimum requirements, despite that, my point still stands: This hard requirement is overkill for this kind of game.
