I have this problem since about half a year when I suddenly couldn't start Minecraft anymore. It freezes just at the end of the loading screen. I tried out a lot of different versions but nothing changed and searching for solutions in the internet did not help either. I updated all of my drivers and reinstalled both Minecraft and Java but it did not change anything. I do not know why I suddenly started having that problem because I have been playing for a long time and never encountered a problem like this or any bugs at all. I also tried using an outdated launcher (Windows Vista Version) which actually worked but then I couldn't see other player's skins or my own.
