When right-clicking, sometimes the game registers the input twice. When placing blocks this causes unintentional block placements (please see the attached video), and opening of placed containers. Also when opening containers the item in the middle slot of the upper row of the inventory is right-clicked automatically (please see attached .png).
I have observed this behavior on 3 different computers with 3 different Operating Systems (Win10 1709 PC, Debian 9.3 notebook, Linux Mint 20 and 20.1 PC). On clean installations of the game and worlds freshly generated. I have observed this issue since Minecraft version 1.13. On my latest machine (Linux Mint 20.1), I have tried to reduce the "double-click timeout" setting, but even setting it to the minimum value (where intentionally double-clicking is humanly impossible), only reduces the issue and does not completely solve it.
There is a near identical issue that was reported for the Bedrock version of the game MCPE-26819.
