Incompatible client! Use 1.17 but that's the version I'm using!

      I'm trying to get into friends' servers but it keeps giving me an error message saying "Incompatible client! Please use 1.17 BUT THAT'S WHAT I'M USING! I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing, closing it out and restarting, you name it, but it won't let me in other servers. It worked fine before this last patch so I'm not sure what else to do here.
