I was experimenting with the new 1.18 snapshot and noticed delays and lag. Here is a few examples that happened to me:

• I can pick up 3 diamonds, but in the inventory it says i only picked up 1 diamond instead of 3
• I could take fall damage, but instead of taking damage right when i hit the ground, there is a 0.5 second delay
• When walking, all the sudden i teleport to where i was 3 seconds ago.

This doesn't happen alot, but it happens 1 or 2 time every 30 minutes.
