when I loaded my survival world in 1.17 it caused a bunch of random holes where I'm pretty sure it's where ores and amethyst geodes are supposed to be. this isn't an urgent fix, its just a problem that I think is worth reporting.

 steps to recreate
1: create or load a 1.16 to 1.16.5 world
2:make sure you're in 1.17 or above
3:go into spectator mode
4: notice the weird holes everywhere
