A few hours ago, I would be unable to open Minecraft via the launcher, being given Exit Code 0. Now whenever I click on the Minecraft launcher icon to open it, nothing happens at all and I'm still stuck on my desktop. If I run as administrator, it comes up with the usual 'Will you allow this app to make changes to your device?' and every time I click 'Yes' the same happens, the launcher still doesn't open and I'm still stuck on my desktop.

I've re-installed multiple times to no avail.
