Cant open versions in the minecraft launcher on installations

      when i go on installation and try make a new installation it wont let me open the version tab resulting in not letting me make a new installation

      (THIS IS FOR VERSION 1.8.9 JUST COULDNT SELECT IT ON THE VERSION TAB)
