Noticing that message reporting is added to the game since 22w24a, according to Minecraft Wiki, I oppose reporting this to Mojang Studios or Microsoft – these things should be reported to server OPs or administrators.

What players do in Minecraft is their right since they've bought the game. What we do in the game is inviolable, as well as privacy. Imagine that me make a joke with my friend (just for fun) in our private server and they report my joke to Mojang/Microsoft. Isn't that an invasion to my/our privacy and right to play in our server with game purchased?

In my point of view, chat messages should be reported to server admins, not Mojang/Microsoft, unless the admins can't handle these things, or the specific player did very bad things, that they retransmit the message to Mojang/Microsoft.

Why shouldn't Mojang/Microsoft handle this first? Different players have different cultures, in which ways to chat are included. So it is the duty of server admins to punish these players who harassed others, unless they're unable to handle it. What if such stuff are sent to Mojang/Microsoft, containing something really harmful to the victim but your judges can't punish the bullies in time or don't have enough evidence? I can't imagine.

The reason why I sent this here instead of Feedback, is that I don't want to see people hate Mojang because of this function. I've seen so many people leave Minecraft or stop tracking the latest versions, because of the things added into the game that violate the principle of "Sandbox". And I really hope the tomorrow of Minecraft will be better.
